Dean joined Knight in March of 2006 and brings over 20 years of experience in general corporate and civil litigation practice, where he provided legal counsel to a number of companies involved in the oil and gas industry.  Dean's responsibilities include overseeing and advising on internal and external legal and corporate matters involving Knight and its operating companies.  Dean's insight and knowledge are valuable assets to Knight and its progressive position in the oil and gas industry.

Dean earned a Bachelor of Science degree and Juris Doctor from Louisiana State University, and was admitted to the Bar in 1985.  Dean is AV rated by Martindale-Hubbell.

Dean is very active within the Louisiana State Bar Association and the Lafayette Parish Bar Association, having served in numerous committee and leadership roles, including President of the LPBA and as a Delegate to the House of the LSBA.  Dean has also served in various capacities with United Way of Acadiana and is an active leader at St. Mary's Catholic Church.
