Knight Oil Tools' Advanced Safety business unit specializes in building custom safety and training programs, safety inspections and comprehensive consulting services to meet customers' needs in the oilfield, communications/tower, utility, construction, food and manufacturing industries.

Advanced Safety's facility in Lafayette, Louisiana features a multi-media class/lecture room with indoor and outdoor hands-on teaching and testing capabilities as well as towers for vertical climbing and rescue training. Quality safety and training programs can also be offered at customer facilities, resulting in less downtime and increased cost-effectiveness.

Advanced Safety offers classes in CPR and First Aid to help employees meet OSHA requirements for a safe and healthy workplace that is reasonably free of occupational hazards. Crane operator safety courses are designed to provide education to crane operators on safe practices and procedures in all industries. Classes are also offered in Confined Space Entry to teach employees how to identify and establish proper entry permit procedures, recognize and control hazards, and to educate on ventilation, atmospheric monitoring, personal protective equipment and non-entry rescue to comply with OSHA requirements. Electrical Safety, Fall Protection, Forklift Safety, Hazcom, H₂S and other courses are also taught through hands-on and classroom teaching methods.
